Ensure safe potable water is dispensed through your Zurn Elkay 475V reduced pressure principle backflow assembly with this cast iron air gap adapter fitting. To provide the cleanest possible water, there can be no cross-contamination within your plumbing system. If there is a backflow, then contaminants from that wastewater can compromise your potable water. This cast iron air gap adapter fitting prevents discharged water from reentering the supply line.
This adapter fitting can be used on either vertical or horizontal installations. It designed specifically for use with Zurn Elkay 475V back flow assembly. The body of the unit is made of an epoxy painted cast iron for long-lasting durability. The outlet pipe size is 3″ national pipe thread. An air gap is a necessary component for installing a drain line, and it can be used with any standard piping material.
