Water that’s free of scale and other impurities will taste better and help your equipment run more efficiently, so use this 3M HP ScaleGard reverse osmosis water filter system to treat water issues at the source! This system is designed to filter for bacteria, particulates, chloramines, cysts, scale, and chlorine taste / odor in your water supply, and is a great choice for coffee brewers, espresso machines, steamers, ice machines, and cold beverage applications. It can produce 930 – 1040 GPD of RO water.
Additionally, this unit comes with a precision blending valve that lets the operator dial in the exact level of dissolved minerals, which is particularly useful in applications where mineral control is preferable to total removal, like coffee and espresso brewing. A smart diagnostic system alerts you when the system requires maintenance, and its modular design makes it easy to grow the system as your needs expand – just add more RO and pre-filter or RO expansion heads to increase production. The quick-change filter design makes it easy to replace cartridges and get back to work too – just turn the cartridge to take the old one out and slide the new one into place, without the need for a filter wrench or other tools. And since the filters are completely encapsulated, this makes the process more sanitary and saves you time. It includes the RO system head with mounting bracket, an integrated booster pump, a pre-filter cartridge, and an RO membrane cartridge. This system requires a 110V electrical connection and comes with a 6′ power cord. The inlet size is 1/2″ NPT, with a 1/2″ JG outlet to the tank, a 1/2″ NPT outlet to the equipment, and a 3/8″ JG outlet to the drain. It should be used with a post-filter and an RO water storage tank. The RO membrane cartridge should be changed every 24 months, and the pre-filter cartridge every 6 months for best performance.
