Lower operating costs while performing fewer repairs for your plumbing system with this Zurn Elkay 1-NR3XLDUC 1″ water pressure reducing valve. This valve is designed to be used on potable water lines. It reduces water pressure from the higher inlet to the lower outlet. With an integral stainless steel strainer within the device, this unit is perfect for commercial water systems that require frequent cleaning of sediments, especially since the unit has an easy to remove and reinstall design.
There is a by-pass design that alleviates any excessive pressure within the device caused by thermal expansion. A balance piston assists the regulator with smoothly reacting to changes in the system flow, and it also protects it from inlet pressure changes. With a sealed cage washer and stainless steel adjustment bolt and nut, the device is resistant to corrosion, including below-ground installation. The valve can be installed horizontally or vertically. This pressure reducing valve can be used in landscaping or public entrance applications.
