This Eagle Group 1836VG Valu-Gard® green epoxy coated wire shelf is the perfect solution for storage in those damp or humid environments where chrome shelving won’t work. Featuring Eagle Group’s Valu-Gard® green epoxy coating, this shelf is made for dishrooms, cold storage areas, and hot, humid kitchens.
It is also designed to be up to 25% stronger than comparable shelves due to Eagle Group’s patented QuadTruss® design. The shelf mat itself uses a special design where the wires are sandwiched between the two truss wires, adding strength and distributing the shelf load better so that it doesn’t stress or strain the welds.
As an open wire shelf, this unit has a lot of benefits. It lets light through to help prevent the growth of mold or mildew. It allows air flow which is critical for cold storage areas where you need cold air to be able to reach all sides of stored food. Plus, it also prevents the buildup of dust or dirt for easier cleaning and offers better visibility for employees to see at a glance what items are being stored. It assembles easily with compatible posts (sold separately) and split sleeves. When used in a shelving unit, it has a capacity of 800 lb.
